What are dental implants?
Dental Implant DiagramDental implants are the latest in tooth-replacement technology. They can be used to replace a single tooth, multiple teeth, or enhance the fit and feel of a loose-fitting denture. A dental implant is made of pure titanium and is placed within the bone. As the bone heals, it forms a strong bond with the implant and becomes anchored in place.

How can dental implants restore my smile?
After an implant is placed, it can be used to support a single-tooth crown, or it can be used in conjunction with other implants to support multiple crowns like a bridge. Multiple implants can even be used to support an entire arch of missing teeth – i.e. an implant-supported denture.

Dental Implant AnchorI have a loose fitting denture. Can dental implants help me?
Dental implants can be used to secure a loose or wobbly denture or partial. For patients with full dentures, adhesives like Fixodent can prove frustrating and ineffective. With as little as two dental implants, a complete denture can be made very secure and stable. This not only improves eating and talking, but can improve overall self-confidence, as well.
